The most expensive and luxurious Christmas presents

It may only be mid-October but already shops are laying out their Christmas wares in the hope of enticing people into starting their Christmas shopping early. If you’ve already begun you’ve probably already drawn up a list of your beloved friends and family who are on your nice list this year.

If you’ve not yet started we thought we’d find some of the most expensive presents money can buy in the hope that they may give you some inspiration, and if not, then hopefully you’ll be amused at just what the famous and rich can buy their loved ones this Christmas.

What could be more luxurious than a Louis Vuitton handbag? At a cool £34,000 the Milla MM is a stunning example of a Louis Vuitton Handbag. Maybe not for everyone though, as the handbag is crafted from precious crocodilian leather, and polished to a wonderful glossy sheen. The lining is made from goat’s skin and has a plethora of handy pockets and zipped liners, with protective bottom studs to keep it safe from dirty floors.

Underwater Sports Car

If your beloved loves James Bond, they would probably give their eye teeth to own the Lotus that was first seen in ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’. Well, for just £1.2 million they too could own an underwater sports car. The zero emission electric powered car is capable of reaching 75mph along the seabed and with its on-board laser-guided sensor it can also drive autonomously so you can concentrate on your unique surroundings. In 2015, Top Gear’s presenter at the time, Richard Hammond, put the car to the test. You can view the video on YouTube here:

Ferrari Sports Car

shutterstock_332789951 To be honest owning any super car would be a dream come true but to own a sought after Ferrari would be the icing on the cake. If the apple of your eye’s ideal car is a classic sports car you won’t go far wrong with a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. It was in production from 1957 to 1961 and was initially designed and developed to compete in the World Sports Car Championship racing season of 1957. 33 models were produced, which included 19 versions for customers to buy. In 2014 a 250 TR, chassis 0704, was reportedly sold privately for $39.8 million. Good luck in finding one for sale, they’re a bit like finding hen’s teeth!

Glass Pool Table

Yes, really, a glass pool table. For those of you like me were thinking how on earth do you play pool on glass well here’s the technical spiel from Liberty Games where you can buy one of these amazing, if not a little weird, tables, for just £36,695. The actual table is made from ‘Monolith glass which is shaped and honed by waterjet. This is then covered with Elite Innovations’ patented Vitrik treatment; a unique material set into a fine mesh, which is almost completely transparent and yet recreates the performance of pool cloth very accurately indeed.’

It doesn’t need to be said that you can buy additional extras like a remote controlled LED lighting kit, a dining top and cue rack. Interested? Head over to the Liberty Games website to find out more:
